BP Oil Slick Looks Set To Push Up Oil Prices

We have all seen in the media news stories about the BP oil slick in the Gulf of Mexico. While the effects are being felt on the other side of the world are severe we over here in the UK are not feeling direct effects.
However it seems more than likely that the oil spill is going to have an effect on the price of heating oil in the UK. In the short term it appears the market may jump about 1 pence per litre today or tomorrow.
Further to this it is yet to be seen the effect on the prices into the summer, normally the market would have a price fall where we could make considerable savings by filling up. However we will have to wait and see whether this saving is made available.
