Crude Oil Continues To Fall
19/4/2010
Crude oil prices have increased over recent weeks, but on Friday they started to fall back. This price fall has continued today with a 2.5% fall by midday today. The current trading price is just below $81 a barrel, down from $85 last week and an 18 month high of $87 the previous week.
This should mean that we see a similar drop in heating oil prices, so perhaps now is the time to start watching those prices a bit more carefully and making an order while the price is low. Click here for a quick comparison of suppliers in your area.

3 Days of Price Falls
12/4/2010
The past three days have seen consecutive price reductions on home heating oil. The sum effect has been just over a 1pence per litre reduction in most areas of the UK.
The start of this week has seen crude oil up slightly so we should expect to see rises in heating oil later this week.

Further Price Increases on Heating Oil
7/4/2010
A week ago I wrote about rising prices, over the holiday weekend positive economic news caused upward pressure on the price of crude oil. While concerns about over supply limited the price increases after bank holiday Monday.
For you the heating oil user we have seen prices rise between 1 and 2 pence per litre. Ofcourse with so much uncertainty this is likely to go up and down but in the short term there is optimism over global recovery which is fuelling price rises.
Prices Rising
1/4/2010
In response to the falling US dollar crude oil prices have reached a new trading high for 2010. Yesterday they were trading at about $83 a barrel with that increasing to $84 today.
We have seen the effect of this on heating oil prices already with prices in most areas up about half a pence compared to this time last week. This means on a 1000 litre order it is now an extra £5, this might not seem that much but if this continues to happen the difference between orders might well be £30 or £40 for the same amount.
